Lower Merion School District to Announce New Superintendent at January 6 Meeting
The Lower Merion School District is set to announce its new Superintendent after a thorough six-month search involving community feedback and interviews. The formal announcement and leadership updates will take place at a special Board meeting on January 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., with options for in-person and virtual attendance. |
Beloved Game Cafรฉs in Ardmore and Philadelphia to Shut Down Amid Slumping Sales
Thirsty Dice and Twenty One Pips, two beloved Philadelphia-area board-game cafรฉs, will close this Sunday due to economic challenges and declining sales. The venues combined dining, drinks, and a vast library of games but struggled to recover from a prolonged slump. Owner Matt Hendricks, who opened Thirsty Dice in 2018 and expanded with Twenty One Pips in 2022, is concentrating on supporting his staff and guests as the businesses wind down. |

Villanova Womenโs Basketball Hosts Seton Hall in Key Big East Matchup
Seton Hall (10-3) and Villanova (7-6) face off in their first Big East conference game of the season. The Pirates bring strong defensive stats and three-point shooting, led by Faith Misonius, while the Wildcats rely on home-court advantage and paint scoring, with Lara Edmanson and Maddie Webber as key contributors. |
