Wynnewood gets its name from the Wynne family, who built the Wynnewood mansion in the 18th century. The area developed around the estate and was named in honor of the family.

 | Several rounds of Arctic air will bring freezing temperatures and snow to the Lower Merion area. Light snow is possible Friday, with up to 4 inches forecast for Monday. Another winter storm could hit late next week, though details are unclear. |
Kobe Bryant’s Legacy Lives on Through BYU Coach John Linehan
 | John Linehan, a BYU assistant coach, shares a storied past with Kobe Bryant, dating back to their high school and AAU basketball days in Philadelphia. Known for his defensive prowess, Linehan was one of the few players who could challenge Bryant on the court, even being named by Bryant as the best defender he ever faced. Their bond, shaped by competition and mutual respect, left a lasting impact on Linehan, who now channels those lessons into coaching.
